Joan Osborne
In writing songs for her new album Little Wild One (September 9th), Joan Osborne fell
under the spell of two of New York's most beloved poets: Walt Whitman
and Alan Ginsberg. The album also marks the reunion of Osborne with
Rick Chertoff, Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian, the writing/producing team
that worked on her debut, the five-million selling breakthrough album
Relish, which was nominated for six Grammys.
Us Against The Archers
Change happens when one thing ends and another starts. This is the same
story of Us Against The Archers, an experimental pop rock band from
Western Massachusetts. UATA is a combination of members who were in two
previous bands and have come together to create music that is energetic,
catchy, memorable, smart, and passionate.
The band is comprised of four members, each bringing their own styles,
influences, and musical backgrounds to the table.
Whitley
Australian artist Whitley is a contradiction. The cheeky, charismatic
22-year-old exudes charm with his boyish good looks and quick wit. Yet
his music and lyrics belie an older soul, one with tales to tell.
Whitley seamlessly blends organic acoustic flavours with electronic
overtones creating songs with hushed, whimsical tales of love and loss.
